This is a difficult post for me as I’m not a big animal lover and haven’t really had many pets. Yes there was the obligatory goldfish of my youth originally called “Goldie”. We had two cats as children, Napoleon and Josephine although I only remember Josephine and a pleasant cat she was not.
My brother during his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle phases had terrapins, Munchalina(!), Pebbles and Bam Bam which stunk to high heaven and there was a snake called Suzy which resulted in mum having to call in a neighbour when she escaped from her tank one evening.
For as long as I can remember I have wanted a Chihuahua and during a sulk that my parents wouldn’t buy me one I brought 3 goldfish. Unfortunately this wasn’t quite the same and instead I had one serial killer fish who ate the other two believe it or not.
So I think it’s safe to say I leave any animal activities to visiting the local zoo and feeding elephants!
