Sugarpuss London recently contacted me asking if I'd like to review one or two items from their website. A quick browse online at their handmade offerings and I was jumping at the chance, especially when they said they'd send me one of their fabulous Baby's Pearl and Padparadascha Swarovski Bracelets*.
The bracelet arrived in an simple yet elegant jewellery box, tied with ribbon and inside was a velvet drawstring bag contacting the baby bracelet. My initial thought was 'why is this not big enough for me' and second 'wow this is really tiny' and concern that my niece who I had earmarked to model for me would be too big to wear it.
The good news is that my worries were unfounded and the bracelet was a perfect fit thanks to the extension chain which still had some give to grow with her. Violet was fascinated with the freshwater rice pearls and Swarovski crystals and nodded shyly when I asked if she felt like a princess.
My niece is months away from her 3rd birthday and not a small 3 so the good news is these bracelets make a great gift that will grow with your own nieces, daughters, grandchildren and/or goddaughters.
I was unsure how quickly the novelty of wearing an item of jewellery would wear off for Violet but she kept it on for two days and only asked to take it off after Auntie Victoria repeatedly fussed over it trying to take suitable photos. Naturally these items are designed as gifts, are not toys and contain small parts that parents should be conscious of if gifted such an item but Sugarpuss London have taken the extra step to ensure that all fittings on the children's bracelets have been soldered for additional security.
These are such pretty bracelets that balance the need for something age appropriate for a young lady receiving her first piece of jewellery without being made from cheap materials or plastered with Hello Kitty or a Disney Princess (not that there's anything wrong with those of course).
If you still have one or two Christmas gifts to buy I'd hop onto the Sugarpuss London website link - you might even find something for yourself to throw into your shopping basket.

I agree those are fabulous...Heidi
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has just turned four and she goes though all my jewellery and 'borrows' some to wear all the time. She would love something really special of her own like she, as she has many 'mini' pieces but this looks very unique!
