Hot on the heels of my changes in the bedroom my living room was in need of some tweaking
This is how it looked earlier this week
My mobile reception hasn't been great at the flat so I've been re-discovering the use of a landline and the chair provided a seat when chatting with friends but all I see is all the wires behind the table
I've tried to cover them with my F&M hamper but it hasn't quite done the job... yes I could've used a table cloth but I was reluctant to cover the table
Instead I moved my Lloyd Loom laundry basket and it covers the wires perfectly
But sadly there is no room for my telephone and the table is too big for the other side
More Lloyd Loom from the bedroom added some more colour
What do you think?
Is it too much Lloyd Loom?
Would the green cupboard look better on the left and move the pink laundry basket to the right?
Something else all together?
Do tell me how you tackle the wires in your home
I say move the green cabinet by the chair to break up the color.
ReplyDeleteThat would still hide the wires and put the phone back by the chair so you can chit chat :)
Yep, swap them over will be better. Love that phone - fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck :-)
Phone by the chair is a very good idea.

I agree with everyone else, telephone by the chair!!

What a fab phone. Loving seeing your dilemmas and your flat coming together.

Yes swap the green cupboard, and no it is not too much Lloyd loom, it is perfect! Love that phone! Suzie xxx
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to the green one being moved to the other side as well.
ReplyDeleteand how do I deal with wires? I ignore them, lol, after a while you don't even notice them anymore.
You can never have too much Lloyd Loom. I'd say yes swap the green to the left and you'll have the phone by your chair - perfect.
ReplyDeleteAm with the others, green by the chair!
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened to the wireless world them promised us eh! xx
Isn't the phone on the right because the sky box needs to go on the left? Breaking up the colour might look good but then it might look 'bitty'
ReplyDeleteNo help at all there I'm afraid!
Wires get hidden behind stuff and I have a plant in front of the ones that I can't hide by the telly!
I don't know if this helps or what the shipping is like, but there's always this --

I would swap them over. The chair would stand out more in front of the green. Its looking good!!! X
ReplyDeleteP.S I hide my wires usually while doing a lot of huffing and puffing and banging my head off something while trying to poke the wires behind a cabinet.
Forgot to say, would you be able to fix the telephone to the wall. I have the same phone as you and it only needs a couple of screws to put it up X
ReplyDeleteIt's all coming together very well. Did you send my package yet? Just want to make sure it didn't get lost. Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeletelol, Victoria, My brothers girlfriend keeps him organised. He went through a phase of forgetting my birthday. I "forgot" his one year, (I did feel really horrible about it) never has he forgotten since. Heehee.

Oh my! I'm in love with the phone and geen cupboard! Yeah it's nice to have a chair by the phone so you can sit for a good natter.
ReplyDeleteFab stuff :) Xx
Victoria darling, I use a fabric cord cover to hide the ugly cords. I copied the idea from Ballard. I used Kidson on one and Laura Ashley fabric for another and sewed cord covers, they are easy to make and look lovely. Here is a link for you.
