TV Bliss

Although I caught the odd episode I never seemed to watch Lark Rise to Candleford when it was on tv so decided to rent the first series from the library

Last night I snuggled in bed and popped the first disc on and was in tv heaven!

I think my favourite characters of the Pratt sisters

And oh how I wish I could travel back in time and run my own post office!

  4. My grandma loved these books. I'm hoping that I might get the DVDs for Christmas, as we don't get British TV over here.

  5. I am such a fan of Lark Rise to Candleford - you should read the books - I read them first before watching the series - so so good! If you like the Bronte's this will be right up your street. The series itself merely embellishes the book...but wonderfully so!

  13. Loved Larkrise to Candleford and was sad to leave all those people when I had watched all the episodes. I cannot choose a favorite character, they are all so great ... but maybe Dorcas, no ... Queenie ... no, those Pratt sisters are so amusing and so well dressed ... nope can't choose, love 'em all (although I do think Laura's Pa {can't remember his name} is a bit stuffy and too proud).

  17. I love Lark Rise To Candleford, it is my all time fave tv adaptation, love it, love it, love it!
Thank you so much for offering to lend me your Charmed discs, do you think I could borrow series 1 first, just to see if I like it? When I post them back to you, I will send you a copy of Lark Rise series 2, to save you borrowing from the library, and I'll include a little crochet gift. If this is alright with you, just send me an email, and I'll post you my address.
Thank you so much for your kindness Victoria. xxxxx
