As you will spot and as this posts title suggests this was drugstore only products, I love me some Milani and Wet n Wild. So let's dive into my goodies.
I saw the Milani Stay Put Brown Color in Brunette on Nouveau Cheap's blog (one of my favourites for US drugstore news and releases) and immediately thought could this be a dupe for the Anastascia Brow Pomade? I've only had the brow pomade used on me in a Sephora makeover and whilst tempted I'm conscious of spending a lot for a product that I'm unsure about. As such I thought this would be a great affordable way of giving this type of product a try and whether I like it. Massive thanks for Rose to tracking this one down for me too as I knew it took a couple of store visits to find.
Next was the L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray which I'd seen on numerous American blogs and across YouTube being spoke of so highly. Frustrated it wasn't available in the UK, especially as I was keen to experience a cheaper alternative to Urban Decay's All Nighter. Thankfully Rose came up trumps. So far this is working a treat, often I'm heading out after work for drinks or blog events and need my make up to last the distance and this seems to be doing the trick.
Moving onto Wet n Wild one of my favourite US drugstore brands, especially for their eyeshadow range. Rose spotted some of these items on my US Wishlist over on Pinterest and I was pleased to receive them when she recently travelled back for a visit.
You may remember my review of the Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne, well now it has the Wet n Wild Shimmer Palette, Hollywood Boulevard to keep it company. So far I've been a little scared to dive into this palette but I'm excited to do so. If my previous experience of Wet n Wild is anything to go buy this will be heavily pigmented and the size of these things - it'll last forever. I've barely made a dent in my other one.
Rose loves a bit of glitter so it was no surprise to see that the Wet n Wild Color Icon Glitter Eyeshadow, Brass caught her attention. With Christmas on it's way (sorry that's twice in one week I've mentioned the 'C word') there's never a better time to get my glitter on and I'm hoping this is a cheap afforable way to do so.
Maybe it's the effect the 80's had on me but I do love blue eyeshadow and I can't wait to dive into Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Palette in Maldives Sky. I wish I'd had this to take on holiday with me. And finally there is the Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Kit in Ash Brown
I haven't used powders in my brows for ages but I'm looking forward to testing this out. It actually reminds me of an NYC kit I brought years and years ago on one of my first trips to America. It was so cheap but perfect and the only thing I used on my brows for years so I'm keen to see how this compares.
What would be on your US Drugstore wishlist?
I did think you'd been back to the US without me.
