Blackberry Boudoir Candle by Partylite Review

My Friday nights are typically spent one of three ways; hungover from the previous nights exploits, out drinking with friends or what is often my favourite relaxing at home, candles lit with something nice for dinner and a film to watch.

You might assume the former is the reason for today's delayed post but I can confirm otherwise. Tonight I will be heading home to continue watching series one of The Walking Dead, likely with some baked Camembert, a glass of red and my latest candle from Partylite, Forbidden Fruits Blackberry Boudoir*.

During the week candles are usually forgotten as it's often a case of arriving home and diving straight into bed but come the weekend, and those chilled Friday's it's candle time. Of course we all know that this weekend heralds the arrival of Valentine's Day and what is more 'romantic' than a house filled with candles whether you are in company or not.

The Blackberry Boudoir Candle from Partylite, is a wonderful gift from it's sexy and sophisticated packaging outside to the flocked candle jar inside. From the Forbidden Fruits which also includes the delicious sound Coconut Caress and Strawberry Surrender this is a rich and deep fruity fragrance making a wonderful transition from Winter's Christmas scents that I'm sure we're all still burning.

I have been lucky enough to have received a number of candles from Partylite over past months and it's a brand I'm rating very highly. The scents linger long after the flame has been extinguished and the jars are decorative features in themselves which can be repurposed after you've said goodbye to your candle.

What candle will you be lighting this weekend?

  1. Yoo hoo, just catching up with your posts - ooh this looks nice & sultry!! All ready for you chilling with zombies lol - we've only just recently got netflix omg wish we'd got it sooner I'm a little bit addicted to pretty little liars - omg their hair is fabulous!! lol, what else - The Killing & The Bridge and The Good Wife. Anyhoo, I digress loving the lipstick post - nothing new to report here other than I'm sick of mine not lasting more than 10 seconds grrrr. Lovely make up palettes too - I've just spotted a 17 one in Boots with lovely colours and its only 6.99 I'm wondering if I'm a bit old for 17 but at the end of the day its only eyeshadow but theyve got some creamy ones too - oooooh - think I'll pop back tomorrow and cash a few points in and then if they are rubbish -I've not lost anything. (I'm still spotty too - meh!) lol - have a great weekend xxx mwah xxx

    1. Netflix is more definitely a big hole you can fall down!! I've dabbled with The Good Wife too and I've tried Making a Murderer that everyone raved about but can't quite get into it. And yes I too have ploughed through PLL and another one to try I love is Once Upon A Time. The first couple of series are great although I'm struggling a bit with the current episodes.

I'm a smoker so my lipstick always has an uphill battle, I've got a post coming up tomorrow actually on some lip products for prepping etc including a primer and new exfoliator I'm using.

As for 17 give it a try, that's another product review post I need to get scheduled as I was sent some products recently and brought a couple of my own and the brand is great. I used some of their eyeshadows last year around holiday time and was very impressed and there's a mascara that's fab too. Basically I like the brand! LOL!

  2. Such pretty jars. I've never actually tried Partylite candles, I find them quite pricey. Same goes for Yankee candles, I tend to opt for the votives or wax melts, much more in my price range x x

    1. I'm lucky I've been sent them of course but they're comparable in price to Yankee Candles which I buy and I find these more scented I have to say. They seem to last a long time as well which is always a bonus! So often I've brought cheaper candles and found it's actually less cost effective.

I do use a lot of votives in the week and I'm actually testing out some reed diffuser things from them which are great!
