MyChelle and Visia Skin Analysis

Last week I battled the district line to visit the Kensington branch of Whole Foods, not to stock up on edible goodies but to meet the MyChelle team and have my skin scanned by the Visia Complex Skin Analysis machine - sounds scary doesn't it, especially when you hear this has been used and tested by NASA Scientists

During my skin analysis session I was subjected - not as harsh as it sounds it was like having your photo taken - to different types of light exposure whilst digital and UV pictures of my face were taken (as you can see above) to examine age spots, UV spots, brown spots, red areas, wrinkles and skin texture as well as pores and acne causing bacteria; all of which are undetectable by visual examination alone.

The attractive images are printed out for you to see and a member of MyChelle team talks through each area and is able to offer products that will treat specific conditions.  The closer to 100% your 'score' is the better I was overjoyed to see my wrinkle percentage sitting at 85% I could have happily skipped out and ignored the rest.

For a 35 year smoker I'm very lucky that my skin is generally in pretty good shape, especially when you factor in my lack of skincare regime in the past. My main area's of concern are due to skin damage as I've always been ridiculously slack at applying SPF and until my meeting with MyChelle it was the one product yet to make it's way into the morning routine.

Luckily I was able to take home MyChelle Sun Shield SPF 28* and add to my routine as well as a few other products I'll fully review once I've put them to the test over a couple of weeks.  MyChelle are certainly a brand I'm looking forward to learning more about as their products are free from all the nasties we hate (parabens, fragrances, artifical colours etc).

The great news is that the MyChelle team have set up camp in the window of Whole Foods Kensington throughout May so if you have a spare 15 mins do pop down and grab your free skin scan and find out more about MyChelle range and the deep depths of your skin.

    1. That's what I'm hoping to do. I did ask if it made any difference that I had make up on or for example I had exfoliated recently but because it goes so deep down into the layers it's looking at the overall 35 years picture etc.
