Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Body Lotion

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Natural Bronze Body Lotion* link

With a holiday fast approaching and being very aware of my pasty Winter skin it was time to swap my body butters and lotions for a gradual tanning moisturiser. Palmers Natural Bronze Body Lotion was a blogger hit last Summer so I was excited to try it when I received it in a goodie bag last year.

Like many of us I'm not the best at remember to apply body lotions but with the knowledge of needing to up the ante in preparation for my holiday and desire for a bronze glow I thought this product was the way to ensure I kept up the regime.

I started using this a few weeks ago and am actually even more impressed with it than a lot of my self tanners. Palmers combine their combination of pure cocoa butter and vitamin E with a hunt of self tanner to give your skin a sun kissed summer glow when applied regularly.

Firstly I love the packaging with easy to use pump. So many body lotions require you to squeeze, pour or scoop which can be a struggle half way through application when you have greasy hands, with Palmers you just keep pumping as you go which I find makes the process so much easier.

Next we have the famous Palmer's Scent which always reminds me of holidays. I appreciate the scent may not be for everyone but I love this and have no issue climbing into bed when I've applied this to my skin.

And the colour. I would argue this is definitely heavier than a lot of gradual tanners I've used. Some lax applications around wrists and cleaning between rings/fingers have left that familiar staining but was down to user error rather than laying blame to the product itself.

A few people have commented recently on how tanned/well I'm looking since the colour has set in which certainly helps encourage my continual use up until I board the plane. I still continue to exfoliate and mix up with other moisturisers to ensure the tan keeps even and I think you may need to up or dial down applications depending on your natural skin types and tones as it can move towards yellow or orange if you're not careful but I'm happy with the colour I've gone.

Priced at around the five pound mark it's definitely worth considering as a more cost effective way to tan, especially if like me you're not the best with traditional self tanners.

Thankfully due to Palmers I will not be scared to walk down to the pool in my bikini worried that people need sunglasses to shield them from my Caspar like glow. If you're heading off on your holidays soon and are worried about that first day on the beach I couldn't recommend this enough.
