I don't know about you but whilst everyone mocked Candy Spelling for her numerous gift wrap rooms in the Spelling Mansion I was pretty envious!
And then of course there's images such as this
In addition to the laundry room I dream of one day a small space to wrap presents and gifts is also on my list but for now I've allocated a small area in the shape of my airing cupboard for such a purpose!
The cupboard is unfortunately pretty much unusable for general storage due to the size of the water tank but it's the perfect length for storing rolls of gift wrap - perfect! and there's just enough space to store wrapped gifts still waiting for Father Christmas to distribute and those destined for birthdays this month.
There are also a few misc items that will make ideal presents and the Chanel bag is storing various tags and things!
Ok it's a long way from the dream room I would love but at least when a present needs to be wrapped I can easily access everything I need!
Oh it's perfect! I love it! You are so clever with your use of space! So far my wrapping 'area' consists of an old huge LUSH box which fits all my rolls in! I would love a table like that! Maybe one day! *sigh*

Oh wow I had not read about the 'gift wrap rooms' I want one !! How fab to have a place to store everything. I have tubs and the paper is just stored in my filing cabinet, I do tend to take over the dining room table though :0) xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's perfectly perfect! I love love love the idea and almost sort of kind of very nearly have one - BUT - I also have TWO kids who have access to it and get in and mess it up *sigh* and use my stuff *bigger sigh*
ReplyDeleteYou're so organised, I think I should take a leaf out of your book.
ReplyDeleteI tend to buy paper etc as and when I need it xx
Very tidy and I spy Chanel! :)
ReplyDeleteJust make sure that you don't store choccies in there next to the hot water tank, it could be a disaster. All my gift wrap is stored in a box and consigned to the loft, there's no space here for such things as a gift wrap room.
ReplyDeleteA gift wrap room?! That would send my husband over the edge! I on the other hand would spend my whole life in there.
ReplyDeleteOff to google more images of the Spelling gift wrap room.

A gift wrap space is so valuable I agree. I have no end of time ended up throwing away rolls of gift wrap that have got ruined because there was no where to keep them.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd picture is so dreamy! xxx
I love it!! i dream the same thing! though i cant use it as my wrapping gifts storage as it's being used for towels, bedsheets etc...urghh and here i am trying to find space to store my craft things! Love those wrapped gifts and ooooh chanel bag! x susan
ReplyDeleteBrilliant use of space. I would love enough space to have a wrapping station, would save an awful lot of faffing!

I watched her special on HGTV can you believe all that space....it was interesting that the new owner painted everything black!
ReplyDeleteshe has nothing on you Momma and you new found space!
Victoria, you really do use every inch of space in your flat and I think that is awesome!! I did watch Selling Spelling Manor and I couldn't believe Candy had 3 wrapping rooms, but really when you think of all the gifts she must have had to wrap for all those parties....
ReplyDeleteOh, I WANT a whole gift wrapping room! At the moment, I have a drawer! Not quite the same. x
ReplyDeleteI love it, what a brilliant idea. If only I could turf all the sheets and drying clothes out of my airing cupboard I swear I'd do the same!
ReplyDeletehope you are feeing better now.
xx
I WANT ONE OF THOSE!!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable-and a brilliant idea.
