Like many others this month I have joined a gym!
I did sign up a few weeks ago but yesterday was the first visit where I tackled the program put together for me!
As you know from my Weight Loss Wednesday posts I don't have an overwhelming drive to loose weight and exercise but would like to be slimmer and toned... and ok a flatter stomach would be nice! The few months before Christmas bored and at home alone it occurred to me I could put that time to good use and do some exercise. Many years ago I belonged to a gym and actually enjoyed popping along for some time with the treadmill
So I signed up to a local gym which is ladies only and on the way home from work. It's not one of the fancy chains, the equipment isn't top of the range but it does the job!
Not one to rush these things yesterday was my first "proper" visit as I want it to fit naturally into my life and didn't want to squeeze it on a free day and then loose interest or let it seem a chore. Thankfully I have a quiet week ahead so I should be able to visit the recommended 3 times!
Wish me luck!
Good for you! I soooo need to do something like that but motivation is sorely lacking in January!!!!!

Good luck, hope you keep the motivation going.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. It's one of those things you realy enjoy when you get there, it's the "getting there" that's the chore. We've started swimming twice a week and are realy enjoying it plus the baths are only 5 mins away from where we live which helps, Lucey xx
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I've been a member of Fitness first for 11 or 12 years. I had a year off when we did this house up but other than that, just get on with it. I enjoy getting out, stick my MP3 player on and just get moving. I no longer do weights, its just chill out, zone out time. You are right to let it just be as and when and not timetabled in.
ReplyDeleteYou're such a brave girl, Vic!!!
ReplyDeleteI hate sweating and I could only attending a swimming class :)
Good luck!

Ops..attend...an English course would be even better than a swimming one for me ;D
ReplyDeleteWell done and good luck xxx
ReplyDeleteYou are good for giving it a go, especially this time of year, I can never muscle up any enthusiasm until it's at least 20 degrees outside LOL. Hope it goes well. xx
ReplyDeleteOh well done, and I hope you keep at it! You probably have much more willpower than I do.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. You have the right idea, the more of a chore it becomes the less enticing the idea of the gym is.
ReplyDeleteHow are you getting on with the clothes sorting the night before?

Well done! I would love to join a gym,but not on my own and no one I know will come with me! lol.. so I have begun to walk more instead. Like you say something that can fit easily into life works better . ;)
ReplyDeleteCool, they say do something 20 times and it will become a habit. I think this is true as I have been going to the gym solidly now since last april. some weeks I go once or twice and others 5 times a week. I enjoy it now.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck, Victoria. x
ReplyDeleteI am impressed I have never joined a gym before my friends were trying to talk me into it but I'm not very good!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the gym! I joined one 3 yrs ago & manage still to go at least twice a week. It is a case of just building it into your routine! Lizzie
ReplyDeleteSetting yourself up is significant. This implies picking the correct fitness program that is demonstrated to get you the outcomes you are searching for, arranging out your dinners as indicated by your program prerequisites. https://fitnessbond.com/meticore-reviews/
ReplyDeleteOrdinarily these gyms are simply repeated from photos by production lines where individuals building them don't have any enthusiasm for weight preparing. Detox drinks benifts
