Weight Loss Resolutions

WLW_edited-1

It’s that time again when we’re all sitting down making lists of resolutions for the year and I’m guessing some of us are thinking about weight loss once again

This is great news as I will be back next week with Weight Loss Wednesday and my hints and tips for making your journey easier but can I ask one thing now?

Please, please don’t tell yourself you’ll wake up tomorrow and begin your diet

It’s may be the 1st January but chances are you have a few more days left of your holiday from work or before the children return to school, there are still Christmas leftovers littering your home and family visits still planned

Instead think of a sensible start date. For me it’s Monday 4th when I return to work and I will be in a routine. Instead of battling the next couple of days with the tub of malteasers spend this time preparing; clean out your cupboards and arm husbands/children with leftover mince pies and sweets for their friends/office, what sort of food do you need to buy to help you eat healthier for the month?

There’s nothing worse than starting trying to eat sensibly when you’re not prepared and know that there are too many obstacles in way to make it a success and have a positive impact

  1. I think that is a bit impossible to start a diet on the first day of the year. Your starting date sounds a bit more realistic, but for me wouldn't work as it is my little one's first birthday! :)
    Happy New Year, Victoria!!

  10. wise words my dear. Wise words. The weight watchers book looks like a corker! I've had a quick flick through and know already that I am going to get such alot of inspiration from it. Thank you soooo much for the email. I wondered if that might be the case, so I shall heed your advice.

You are so sensible and realistic about your weight loss plan. Shame you can't talk to Victoria Beckham! I was just reading 'Closer', and whilst I know all magazine articles must be taken with a large pinch of salt, if they are right about her latest diet plan, she could do with a serious chat with you!

Have a very lovely New Year's Eve. Enjoy yourself!
Thank you so much for your comment! Right back atchya! xxx

  11. Hi Victoria,

Thanks for the tip! I have investigated. Do you just have to report on progress? I agree, best to be realistic and start when you can. I'm starting on Monday too (first boot camp, arrr!). I am going to Sainsbury's tomorrow armed with a list to buy all my diet supplies. i have printed off a few food planners so I have some ideas for meals.

    Happy new year!
