Well for a single gal like me Valentines Day was rather enjoyable!
I returned home from work to find a Pandora bag sitting on the table with a heart charm inside from my mum!
Next it was time to check the post box, no cards but there was a cheque from the tax office for a few hundred pound! Hmmm I'll take that over a card any day!
Then it was the arrival of my friend Ben, unfortunately due to train troubles we'd both had difficulties getting home from work so we decided to indulge in fish (chicken for me!) and chips at home rather than battling for a table elsewhere
Ben had brought me a lovely present
All together now... aaaaahhhhh!
Then it was off to the cinema to see Gnomeo & Juliet which is FANTASTIC!!!
I cannot recommend this film enough, I laughed at the funny bits and gasped (probably a bit too much for a 31 year old in a kids film!) at the "scary" bits. There's a great soundtrack with no surprising many Elton songs reworded to fit the gnome theme!
If you get a chance to see it I can't recommend it enough!
That poster is so sweet! xx
ReplyDeleteI got a cheque from the taxman yesterday too! x
ReplyDeleteYour day and evening sound pretty perfect to me...hugs, Linda

ReplyDeleteCheque from the taxman sounds good, I'm hoping for one of those in April! And I LOVE that set of shelves behind you, is that the new ones you bought? Lovely bits on it...I think we need to see more photos of your place :) xx

ReplyDeleteoh yes, cold hard cash wins over a card any day of the week! Lucky you, normally they're asking for loot instead of handing it out :o) Nice to hear someone getting money back for a change.

ReplyDeleteWow honey you had a better Valentines than any old stuck with someone would have had...money...jewelry....and a man with style, Baby you had the red carpet. I had a roasted chicken dinner I prepared myself with burping farting family...whom I love dearly!!! Happy Day must take the kids and it sounds like one I will enjoy also big bonus.
ReplyDeleteOoh what a lovely Valentines day you had. I have read so many negative posts about Valentines in Blogland, not only from single people who seemed to have an absolute downer on the day but also from a few married bloggers aswell, what a miserable lot!!! So how lovely to see such a nice post like this. I love your poster (is Ben eligible I wonder???) AND you also got a refund off the Taxman? What more could a girl ask for? So glad you had a Happy Valentines Day X
ReplyDeleteAwwww what a lovely day indeed! :)
