Afternoon Tea at Sketch link |
Last Saturday my friend Lisa and I decided to head into London for Afternoon Tea at Sketch in London's Conduit Street. Unfortunately we hadn't accounted for the NFL hoopla taking place in Regent Street so it was something of a battle amongst through big burly men and a pleasure to be led into the girly pink Sketch Parlour.
Once nestled into a gorgeous pink armchair we got down to business and ordered a glass of champagne which is served in my favourite saucer style glass. From the start the staff was quite attentive, talked us through the champagnes on offer and were quick to top up glasses and bring us the tier of tasty treats.
Tea is served in wonderful teapots and cups and saucers which my initial idea to purchase for myself was cast aside when I saw how much they were - I think I'll try getting my pinterest on with a sharpie pen first.
Favourites amongst those served were the vegetarian comte croque monsieur, lemon eclair and poppy chantilly choux, all delicious, light with enough substance to make them enjoyable.
Scones were served with clotted cream and a choice of strawberry and fig jams. Call me boring but I preferred the strawberry jam, sometimes traditional is best.
A few glasses of champagne later, full to the brim and nearing on sugar overload (does anyone really ask for more from what is offered?) we decided to call for the bill and roll home for a night of X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing.
Are you an afternoon tea fan? And if so share your recommendations of what I should go next.

DeleteEnjoying Aftеrnoon Tеa at Skеtch was a dеlightful еscapе from thе NFL chaos. Thе pink paradisе, comfy chairs, and attеntivе staff madе it a truly indulgеnt еxpеriеncе. Thе champagnе in saucеr glassеs addеd a touch of glamour. Whilе thе tеapots and cups wеrе tеmpting, thе pricе nudgеd mе towards a DIY Pintеrеst projеct. Ovеrall, a fabulous day now, back to rеality and maybе I'll еvеn find timе to make my essay shinе! Good Luck.
