Autumn Glory by Pyrex

Is it safe to say Summer has ended? I think so. I know us Brit's have nothing better to do than talk about the weather but it's like someone flicked a switch isn't it. That said I love Autumn, it's my favourite season. I love Halloween, Bonfire Night and the build up to Christmas.

It also means my beloved Autumn Glory dinnerware from Pyrex will be making it's appearance as will many casseroles, stews and hearty meals to keep me warm. I do love Pyrex, from oven to table it means there's less washing up which is always a good thing.

So do share, what is your favourite Autumnal soup or stew and would you care to pass on your recipes?

  1. I love making veggie soups in the cooler months, it's one of those recipes where I can just throw in pretty much whatever ingredients I have and it just works. Super easy and so cheap too!

  2. Apparently there's an Indian summer this weekend, so don't put all your summer clothes away yet! Having said that I'm so excited for cosy autumn nights and stews with lots of warm bread and butter - perfect! xxx

  3. Yes, apparently it is going to be in the low 20s this weekend - altho I'm working :-(
As a veggie I chuck vegetables, pearl barley and herby dumplings in for a stew.

  4. I do love a nice beef stew and dumplings or a braised steak with suet pudding best in the winter months. Well all, year round in fact, if I'm completely honest.

  7. My mum has that Pyrex dish! Keep trying to snaffle it but no luck as yet! I am partial to any soup in autumn it has to be said, but a vegetable broth a good old fashioned northern stick-to-your-ribs kind is always a winner. Accompanied by stottie cake is a dieters nightmare though!!
