I've decided to join Weight Loss Wednesdays hosted by Jennifer at Rosey Little Things and rather than only charting my progress I will provide some tips and tricks that I find help me on my journey and hopefully help you too

My first bit of advice:
Have your bra size measured correctly
image: Ad Classix
It is quoted that approx 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size so I will assume that not all of my blog friends are in the 20% that are
Aside from the obvious reasons for wearing the right size bra more importantly it will make you appear slimmer and if you look slimmer, you will feel slimmer - far easier to avoid reaching for the biscuit tin if you're feeling good about yourself
It is recommended you are measured once a year and yesterday I took myself to John Lewis and came home with a couple of these. They may be simple but I feel so much better in my clothes today
What are you waiting for? Go de-clutter that underwear draw of yours and reach for the tape measure

(I think 4 babies will have done that!!) I got a right shock when she measured me thought I was a D cup was actually a B!!!!!
you know how much I like my underwear!
ReplyDeleteGok was saying last night about how much difference good knickers make too!

I want one of those bra tape measures on that site you listed. It is such a fab idea.
ReplyDeleteDid get properly measured a few years ago and went from a B to an E cup, how wrong had I been getting it all those years :o) x
Well, I have just had a huge piece of cake with my cappucino - I have a horrible feeling that I have just signed up to weight-gain Wednesday! I admire your resolve, which I am sadly lacking on that front!

ReplyDeleteNow that's what I call a "Victoria's Secret"! ***pours a generous dab of wine in bra cup and salutes Victoria***
ReplyDeleteI should join too Victoria. Most people would say i don't need to lose weight, but i think its all about whether your happy with yourself or not. I really could do with toning up and losing a stone so that i can fit into some of my lovely pre baby clothes!!!!
ReplyDeleteHee hee, I dont wear one! I cant bare the feel of them! Suzie. x
ReplyDeletethat is good advice!! have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you Victoria! I think every woman should be measured for a bra-I think they would be surprised at what they find out!
ReplyDeleteGreat advice, thanks, My Hope & Greenwood book arrived, filled with some great recipes slightly disappointed that there are no hard sweet recipes like lolipops or rhubarb & cream,i did get another candy recipe book recently that has great recipes but not as cool looking as H&G's, Have a sweet day! x
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Now where to find a dutch measurement sight?!
ReplyDeleteGreat tips....You always have the BEST info. I think I need to take your advice...with weight gain comes bigger boobs~lol and I am still wearing the same bra size as when I was 10 lbs lighter. Yep..I really need new bras!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your progress and hear your advice. I am also part of weight loss Wed and today i posted my WEIGHT!!!
Great tips hun, I agree with Rose, good knickers are a must!
ReplyDeleteWhy does any extra weight always go straight to the boobs? I'm naturally quite small busted (when I was a size 10) but now still carrying the damn baby weight my boobies are huge.......YUCK!
((Beki))
Hmmmm, maybe that was a bit personal lol!
I agree 100 per cent on the bra measure. I'm a bra advisor in M&S and you'd be surprised at how many people wear the wrong size bra... usually far too small or far too big.Lucey x
ReplyDeleteooo like this entry! Trying to get fitter and healthier myself! Went for a measure only just recently and yup - I had changed so it is a good thing I did that! :) xxx
