Rainy Sunday

Intentions to visit the boot sales yesterday were thwarted when I awoke to rain!

So instead I spent the day cleaning up from the previous nights dinner party and used the leftovers for a lovely quesadilla lunch

I don't quite know what happens on Sunday's. The day just disappears and about 5pm I decide I want an afternoon nap which if I don't resist means I'll be full of energy in the evening and do all the things I should have tackled earlier!

My spare room being one of those tasks!

Please tell me I'm not the only one whose spare room becomes a dumping ground?

On the bright side my "jobs" were completed by 8pm in time for more chocolate chip bread & butter pudding snuggled on the sofa with a film!

A rainy day just calls for a sofa snuggle and film.

  4. I think its an unwritten law about spare rooms becoming dumping grounds! Ours doubles as my sewing room so there i just one heap of 'stuff' in one corner as I've taken over all the other space with my stuff!

  5. I too have a spare room that is half sewing room and half massive ironing pile, and general dumping area! I also admit to nodding off yesterday afternoon and still managing to nod off during the evening too!! I only woke up to go to bed! Sue x

  7. As I don't have a spare room, it's my own room that gets used as a dumping ground. Come bedtime everything gets thrown from the bed to the floor then if I wake in the night I end up falling over or stubbing my toe on something, cursing very loudly and waking Rich, all because I was too lazy to put things away!
    I need a spare room ;o)

  8. Our conservatory gets used as a dumping ground but we tidied it all up yesterday and I've sent loads of bags of 'stuff' off to the charity shop today. If it hadn't been a rainy Sunday it wouldn't have got done.

  9. our spare room is wasted as my laundry room/dumping ground. You are not alone!

When I finally sort things out and move Girly Girl in there, I'm going to pinch her smaller room as my craft room! Just don't know what I'll do with my laundry then though!

  11. I have a storage room, which sometimes becomes even worse than a dumping ground! And it's not my fault! :)

  20. Before we did B&B we had two spare rooms which had become glorified storage cupboards - and very messy ones at that! When we did them up for B&B I took bags and bags of stuff to the charity shop - now I don't have any spare room which is probably a good thing!
