Two friends joined me again for dinner yesterday evening in what is regularly becoming our Wednesday night supper club!
The night before I prepared Nigella's Totally Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
For dinner we had Toad in the Hole
I used meatballs instead of sausages and served with a BBQ gravy which when I explained to my friend I'd made myself she commented "it tastes like real BBQ sauce" so I guess that's a good thing!
What have you been making for dinner recently?
You didn't say it was a fancy toad-in-the-hole...... get you!! Cookies look lovely :) xx
ReplyDeleteI had French Onion Soup last night (Baxters tin, not homemade)but I'm regretting it. Can still taste onion!
ReplyDeleteAm plotting roast beef on Sunday, and yep, will be making yorkshire pud to go with it, but other than that just normal stuff. Ooh, spag bol tonight I think.
left a comment about the TITH on Twitter, and those cookies just look too yum for words

ReplyDeleteOooh, a supper-club! I think I may need to steal this idea! I'm looking forward to trying the cookie recipe- they look so authentic! haven't found one thats right- my last attempts were on the advice of a chef, and called for half a can of evaporated milk. Guess what? They tasted like they'd been made with half a can of evaporated milk!
