Intentions to visit the boot sales yesterday were thwarted when I awoke to rain!
So instead I spent the day cleaning up from the previous nights dinner party and used the leftovers for a lovely quesadilla lunch
I don't quite know what happens on Sunday's. The day just disappears and about 5pm I decide I want an afternoon nap which if I don't resist means I'll be full of energy in the evening and do all the things I should have tackled earlier!
My spare room being one of those tasks!
Please tell me I'm not the only one whose spare room becomes a dumping ground?
On the bright side my "jobs" were completed by 8pm in time for more chocolate chip bread & butter pudding snuggled on the sofa with a film!
I love that your on the couch also...I just don't feel like working as of late either!
ReplyDeleteI have to take my Sunday nap about 2ish..... If I waited til 5pm I would wake up! x
ReplyDeleteI reckon there's somewhere in every home that is used as a dumping ground. Hopefully mine with be better now I got that basket!
ReplyDeleteA rainy day just calls for a sofa snuggle and film.

I think its an unwritten law about spare rooms becoming dumping grounds! Ours doubles as my sewing room so there i just one heap of 'stuff' in one corner as I've taken over all the other space with my stuff!
ReplyDeleteI too have a spare room that is half sewing room and half massive ironing pile, and general dumping area! I also admit to nodding off yesterday afternoon and still managing to nod off during the evening too!! I only woke up to go to bed! Sue x
ReplyDeleteI wish my spare room looked that tidy! Had my daughters party yesterday so everything got dumped in there. Must sort it all tonight. ~c~
ReplyDeleteAs I don't have a spare room, it's my own room that gets used as a dumping ground. Come bedtime everything gets thrown from the bed to the floor then if I wake in the night I end up falling over or stubbing my toe on something, cursing very loudly and waking Rich, all because I was too lazy to put things away!
ReplyDeleteI need a spare room ;o)

Our conservatory gets used as a dumping ground but we tidied it all up yesterday and I've sent loads of bags of 'stuff' off to the charity shop today. If it hadn't been a rainy Sunday it wouldn't have got done.
ReplyDeleteour spare room is wasted as my laundry room/dumping ground. You are not alone!
ReplyDeleteWhen I finally sort things out and move Girly Girl in there, I'm going to pinch her smaller room as my craft room! Just don't know what I'll do with my laundry then though!
My spare room is a dumping ground too! I had everything out the week before last. 3 black sacks of rubbish i was ashamed! oh your tea looks yum yum xx
ReplyDeleteI have a storage room, which sometimes becomes even worse than a dumping ground! And it's not my fault! :)
ReplyDeleteSundays are so short, aren't they?!

Yes yes yes about the spare room!! It drives my OH mad :)
ReplyDeleteYour spare room looks great compared to mine!! I love a good Sunday nap - especially when it rains, and after a good lunch!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect day to me!!
ReplyDeleteApart from missing out on the boot fair, it sounds like a pretty good day. I did manage to go to a boot sale, it was just spitting a little, but boy did it p down in the afternoon!
ReplyDeletebelieve me, my spare room makes this look ultra neat! Thanks for your comment on my blog, your house (and lunch) look lovely xox
ReplyDeleteAh, be reassured your not the only one, my spare room looks like a bomb has went off, or organized kaos as i like to call it lol. Whatever I do, it's just maneuvering stuff around the room without any real achievement *sigh*.One day it shall be a crafty room, pinkies crossed.
ReplyDeleteYour lunch looked so scrummy, so much so i'm hungry now ;) - loving the blog to!
yummy yummy quesadila! and you're not the only one who uses the spare bedroom as dumping ground haahaha mine is awful!! everything and anything i'd dump there!! glad you finished ur work! x Susan
ReplyDeleteBefore we did B&B we had two spare rooms which had become glorified storage cupboards - and very messy ones at that! When we did them up for B&B I took bags and bags of stuff to the charity shop - now I don't have any spare room which is probably a good thing!
