Harley Street Haircare Hamper

The Harley Street Hair Clinic, know for hair loss advice got in touch to send me a haircare hamper to give my hair some TLC and it gave me a great opportunity to try some new brands.

Sachajuan is a brand that I had not heard of until I opened my hamper and I've since discovered they originate in Sweden and the range features Ocean Silk Technology which tends to all hair types whilst aiming for simplicity and function from their products so they are easy to use. Sachajuan Ocean Mist Shampoo* provides the aforementioned ocean silk technology and natural vegetable proteins to give your hair structure, volume and strength, inside and out so you are left with hair that is strong and shiny. I love the smell of this shampoo, more so than the Balmain and it worked wonders on my hair. I'm quite lazy at times with my hair and am still letting it air dry although at this time of year it can be counterproductive depending on the shampoo I use, but the Sachajuan Ocean Mist didn't let me down.

Also from Sachajuan was their Hair Repair* your familiar treatment to aid stressed and damaged hair by promoting cell regeneration. I haven't used this yet as due to it's handy sachet size and 'healing properties' I've added it to my travel bag as it'll be perfect to join me on my holidays next year. As is the Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Hair Mask* for dry or brittle hair to repair damaged locks which can take some heat whilst holding in the sun or swimming in the sea. This mask contains an innovative formula with botanical keratin, an active ingredient that penetrates the hair's surface to mimic natural keratin and replace lost aminio acids.

I was very excited to see Balmain's Moisturising Shampoo* and Moisturising Conditioner* as it's possibly the closest I'll get to owning anything from Balmain! Is their haircare range a gimmick or are the products worth hitting buy now was the question I wondered.

The Balmain Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner will nourish hair whether natural or colour treated and have a 'mysterious, feminine fragrance' which was something that further intrigued me. I have to say I didn't find it too 'mysterious' and was quite floral to me although I admit not as synthetic as perhaps regular shampoo scents but that might have been mind over matter.

Further claims from this duo which contains Argan Oil is that it will hydrate and calm an irritated or sensitive scalp whilst ticking the boxes of enhancing shine and leaving behind manageable hair. This was a nice hair duo which I liked but didn't instantly love. I am happy however to pop its travel sized duo into my bag of minis and I will likely take it with me to Centre Parcs were I'm heading next month for a weekend break.

Thank you Harley Street Hair Clinic for an introduction to these brands.
