Make Up Brush Storage from IKEA

A few weeks ago I took a trip to IKEA and I decided to throw a vase and some crushed glass into my basket with a view to using as make up storage and it worked surprisingly well. The crushed glass is rather thick so depending on brush size will decide how many brushes you can store but it works so much easier for now than an emptier glass and far easier to find the brush I'm looking for.

I'm still not convinced this is the final storage method for my brushes and would prefer a different colour of the crushed glass and maybe a different style of vase but it's a great starting point and proving useful for now.

How do you store your make up brushes?

  1. That's such a clever and original idea!

  2. I've seen this idea before - so simple, yet effective. You can always keep your eye out for different coloured crushed glass or coloured sand.

  3. I have them stored the same standing but in vintage glass and vintage silver containers like sugar bowls milk pitchers. Grace xoox

  4. This is such a lovely idea, I really like how it looks! My brushes are currently stashed away in a drawer but I'd prefer something like this!

  5. Love this idea, think I may have to take a little trip in the new year when I finally organise my make up space.

  6. I love how this looks! I'm currently using a cleaned out Bath & Body Works candle! :)

  7. This is such a cool way to organise brushes!

  8. I love this idea! I have probably 50+ brushes so this wouldn't work for all of them, but I'd like to maybe put my eye brushes in a jar like this! I love the crushed glass, it's so pretty xx

  9. When I went there to move in my stuff, the staff member on duty walked me up to my unit, and also demonstrated me how to use the elevator and lock, and offered to do this anytime I came in.

  10. Great idea, I use only candle Jars for mine but they are slowing over taking my desk! I would love to find a long shallow vase for the back of my desk to do this with!
