Not So Shabby

Here it is....the photo of Kelly & I with the queen of Shabby Chic, Rachel Ashwell!

Rachel was a truly lovely and humble woman who took the time to talk with everyone who was there. We spoke about the Santa Monica store we visited last year and she told us how proud she is of this book

Rachel also gave a fantastic talk mentioning the possibilities of opening a shop in Notting Hill and how she would consider a supermarket line like she does with Target in the US so keep your fingers crossed!

We'd also arranged to meet the wonderful Tcakes who came armed with cupcakes for us from the newly opened Lola's Bakery! It was lovely to meet a fellow blogger and we all enjoyed a lovely meal chatting away I hope to do it again soon

  2. how totally fabulous! I am so envious. I'd have loved to have met Rachel, but with a 3 year old rascal taking up all of my time, it wasn't possible. Still. Am loving her latest book, and ooh, fingers, eyes and toes crossed in hope that Shabby Chic may open here. How gorgeous would that be!

I've met several blog friends (I met one for the first time at my wedding, almost 5 years ago), and it's always wonderful to meet up. YOu already know so much about each other that it's like meeting up with an old friend.

    Enjoy your weekend :o)
    p.s, just loving your blog!
