Serozinc available in the UK

La Roche Posay Serozinc* link
Yes, you heard it right, La Roche-Posay's blogger favourite Serozinc will be available in the UK in 2015. Last night Carissa and I headed down to the gorgeous Serpentine Gallery to learn about the product that has many beauty lovers crossing the channel with empty suitcases to stock up on this cult product.

I must confess whilst I have heard of Serozinc it's not something I have given much thought to as my travels to France are none existent and it was a case of out of sight out of mind. That aside when I was told that I'd be heading home with a can of this much raved product to try for myself I was doing a happy dance.

At the moment due to not having used myself I can tell you little more than the basics which are:

Serozinc is to be used as a toner after cleansing, although can be used to mattify skin at any time of the day
Serozinc contains just three ingredients, water, zinc sulphate and astringent sodium chloride
Serozinc's three ingredients target blemishes, marks and excess oiliness

Serozinc is targeted for those with oily, blemish prone skin although from looking at the ingredients and listening to Dr Tabi Leslie the consultant dermatologist at the launch last night it's perfect for those with normal to combination skin too. As I've mentioned many times I'm a big fan of La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo+ particularly around 'that time of the month' and I think Serozinc will accompany that perfectly.

I'm sure the answer you're really wanting me to answer is how do you get your hands on a can of Serozinc yourself? Serozinc will launch on 1st January 2015 from www.escentual.com and is available for pre-order there now.

I'm ready to move Serozinc into my skincare regime and I'll report back on my findings but I'd love to hear from you if you've tried this in the past.

Are you excited about this new launch?

  3. I have never used it as my skin is quite dehydrated. I am afraid it would be a bit aggressive. Looking forward to reading your thoughts after using it for a while.

    1. I have dehydrated skin more than oily and it's fine! I certainly don't find it aggressive but of course won't speak too soon before using for a while!
