Cabin Suitcase similar here
Whenever travelling to the US I always take a small suitcase onto the plane with me. This comes in handy to transport heavy or delicate items on the return leg that I don't want to go into the hold. Outbound it's handy to house my laptop and extra clothing and make up I want to use mid-flight. I love this suitcase for it's Chanel vibe and picked it up from a random store in London many years ago - it also came in handy when my suitcase was overweight and I needed to stash some clothes in there.
About a Girl link
I cannot travel without a good book particularly to keep me occupied whilst sitting on the plane waiting for take off and the in flight movies to begin. About a Girl is a brilliant book with laugh out loud moments once expects from Lindsey Kelk. Quite often I can find books have a very drab female character who I cannot relate to Lindsey's leading ladies have very human and relatable qualities.
Hooded Sweatshirt and Socks
Planes are always cold and often I'm travelling with a jacket that during the flight won't provide the right level of comfort and warmth so a hoodie is always packed in my case to pop on. I picked up this fantastic sparkle pineapple number from Victoria Secrets in Hawaii and apparently that is the only stockist so it was a fantastic addition to my VS hoodie collection. I also hate to have cold feet and often travelling in sandals or flip-flops a pair of socks comes in handy and these cute Alice in Wonderland ones from Primark added a little fun
Eye Mask, Cath Kidston link
Ben brought me a travel set from Cath Kidston which contained this cute eye mask which helps a troubled sleeper like myself catch a few precious hours of sleep on transatlantic flights.
Victoria Secrets Passport Cover and Make Up Bag
I picked up this passport cover in duty free along with the make up bag which is a cheaper dupe for the Anya Hindmarch ones I've had my eyes on forever. Again I love anything from Victoria Secrets as it's almost like having something personalised. You can see what was in my make up here. In addition there were some skincare additions to stop my skin dehydrating along with my glasses and some spare contact lenses.
Everything is housed in my Prada Saffiano Tote which whilst can become a little heavy is perfect for travelling due to it's size, two zipped compartments and one which is open and handy for when you are taking your passport in and out of your bag!
I hope you enjoyed a peek at my hand luggage which I'll be referring back to and maybe updating when I head to Las Vegas in September. What are your hand luggage staples?
Love the case! Unfortunately I haven't been abroad for 7 years, oh my god I didn't realise it had been that long - and there is no prospect of it happening any time soon either. I still love packing posts and tips though. x
ReplyDeleteWell you must try and book yourself a mini break abroad soon! x
DeleteRegardless what is inside your bag, that case is stunning! I'm not even going away this year but I am beyond tempted to get one haha.
ReplyDeleteBelle ♥
Mascara & Maltesers
I've had it years and it's really held up to some damage! x
DeleteVery classy traveller - thanks for the post!!! :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteI try my best! ;o) x
DeleteYou rock, and as for the pineapple! :)
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love a pineapple!
DeleteAll looks super-organised, Victoria. Love the pineapple sweatshirt - fab! x
ReplyDeleteI do try!
DeleteYour passport cover is so cute, and I love your little case x
ReplyDeleteI just got back from Florida and took a normal big luggage and not a carry-on. 1 lady mocked me and said she traveled to Europe with just a carry on for 10 days! Seriously??? I was not concerned I would pack too much going to Florida but coming home I always buy gifts and treasures for myself and figured I could just pack it and be done. Worked out great. My only gripe with myself was that I brought a crossbody Le Sport Sac with me and it was a pain in my neck literally! I saw a lady from London at the airport who had a longchamps tote as her bag and raved how comfortable it was to carry that instead of a crossbody! So next time I will bring my longchamps and try. Thanks for sharing your packing tricks Grace xoo
ReplyDeleteWOW I could never travel with only carry on... as you say where would you pack all your gifts?!
DeleteMum and I are taking 1 case each to Vegas in Sept and paying for the extra just to fill with our shopping.
Everyone raves about the Longchamp for travelling, my friend is using her holdall for a short minibreak with only carry on allowed.
That cabin suitcase is gorgeous! I need to find it online haha. Then again, I probably won't be travelling anywhere this summer anyway!

Let me know if you track it down - I find it handy for using when staying at friends rather than struggling with holdalls too x
DeleteI love the suitcase. I can't travel without a book and handcream!
ReplyDeleteHand cream is a must!
DeleteLove the mini suitcase! I tend to travel with a large Cath Kidston zip up bag, which is unfortunately usually loaded with baby wipes crisps for the kids tissues that sort of thing LOL plus contact lense stuff and VALLIUM to get me through the flight!! ;-D
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Poor you. I like the CK bags but I need something I can pull as my hand luggage seems to get weighed down with magazines and other purchases!!
DeleteSince all of these bags belong to top brands, it is always safe to buy those products for long durability and comfort. Not only business people, but the leisure travelers can also purchase these hardside bags.
