Book Review | My Story by Dannii Minogue

Week 1 of 2011 see's me returning to Dannii: My Story a book I'd started reading before Christmas

This is an easy read that I hope to finish on today's journey to and from work (esp as it's due back at the library this evening!)

Dannii Minogue might not have the most inspiring tale to tell and it is more like an in-depth magazine article but it's just the right book to ease me into 2011 nicely

What is your first read of 2011?

  1. On 1st january I read a book called I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced It was about a little girl from Yemen whose parents married her off to an older man who abused and beat her. She found the courage to go to court for a divorce. A remarkable story. I got to read the whole book as I spent about 12 hours in the hospital waiting room awaiting the arrival of our latest grandbaby

  3. I got quite a few books for Christmas, and I've already got a few that I've had for a while which I haven't yet got round to reading. Don't know which I'll choose to read first though.

  5. Looks like a perfect read to start the new year off. For Christmas I received four books on my wish list and I'm reading Mr. Darcy's Christmas and I'm loving it. hugs, Linda

  6. Still reading the last book from last year - slow burner but good. A Book of Silence by Sara Maitland....rather academic so after this I will want something fast paced and fun! But I've learnt so much from this book so I'm happy! xxx

  7. I've got (yet another) book about CoCo Chanel I'm itching to get started on. And a few cookbooks too :o) I love reading cookbooks, trouble is, I have to stop and make a scooby snack 'cos they make me starvin'!

Glad you had a great Christmas. Sorry about being back at work though.

Happy New Year to you xxxx
